Baroque instrumental music is full of great dynamics and contrasts. During that period, the notion of concert as a competition, a demonstration of skills and virtuosity of soloists accompanied by an orchestra or as a contest between different groups of instruments was formed. Music by European composers – G. B. Lulli, A. Corelli, G. Purcell, A. Vivaldi, J. S. Bach, L. Boccherini and G.F. Händel is filled with the impulse of victory and fight.
