Since 2003 – the soloist of the National Opera of Ukraine named after T. Shevchenko.
He sang solo concerts at the House of Organ Music (Dnipro) and St. Andrew’s Church (Kyiv). Serhii Kovnir participated in the Salzburg Festival (conducted by D. Barenboim, Austria, 2007). He toured in Germany, Latvia, Belgium, Denmark, Italy, Spain, Portugal, France, the Netherlands, Japan, etc.
Performs leading bass parts in operas of W. A. Mozart, Ch. Gounod, V. Bellini, G. Donizetti, G. Rossini, G. Verdi, G. Puccini, A. Ponchielli.
