The competition as well as Lviv Opera is named after the famous Ukrainian singer Solomiya Krushelnytska. “Undoubtedly, Solomiya Krushelnytska is among the greatest singers of the 20th century, therefore international contests and festivals of her name are significant events for us in the process of modern culture creation”, – says the general director – artistic director of Lviv National Opera Vasyl Vovkun.
