Enjoy Ukrainian music, which is a unique phenomenon in world culture. The chamber choir of Lviv National Opera and conductor Vadym Yatsenko will perform the definitive works of Ukrainian classical composer Dmytro Bortnyansky, namely his sacred choral concertos. The unique genre for choral virtuoso performance, which has no analogues in Western European music, has finely developed in the works of Ukrainian composers and is a remarkable achievement in the history of culture. The concert will be broadcast live from the heart of Lviv – a historic baroque Garrison Church, which is the Centre of Military Chaplaincy of Ukraine. Our singing will also be our prayer for the defenders of Ukraine, particularly the soldiers of the Azov Regiment, who for more than two months heroically defended the Azovstal plant in Mariupol and are now the prisoners-of-war in captivity in Russian-controlled territory. The project aims to preserve the national musical heritage, promote the world cultural space and support charity. The proceeds will be used to support the Ukrainian people and culture during the war, particularly to purchase resuscitation equipment for the Military Medical Clinical Centre of the Western Region.
