Nataliia Davydovska (1953-95) is a Ukrainian poetess. She graduated from Philology Faculty of Ivan Franko Lviv University and from Literature Institute named after Gorky (Moscow). She is the author of the collections of poetry: “Eyewitness”, “Bird Grove”, “My Cities”, “Born in December”, “Garden of Eternity”, “Frescos” (selected). The idea of the poem about Solomia Krushelnytska, the prominent Ukrainian opera prima donna of the end of the 19th and the beginning of the 20th centuries, is expressed in the words:
“The life of the artist is a brilliant myth,
And the truth comes after, the truth is in immortality.”
