Festive Grand concert

A significant event, sincerely desired by all Lviv citizens, occurred 120 years ago. On October 4, 1900, Grand City Theatre was opened, taking advantage of the best innovative technologies of that time. The building of Lviv National Opera is one of the most recognizable architectural wonders of Ukraine.

To celebrate the 120th anniversary of the opening of the theatre, Solemn Ceremony and Grand Concert will take place.

The most famous pieces of world classical and Ukrainian music will be performed: operas by R. Wagner, G. Puccini, C. Gounod, G. Verdi, K. Dankevych, Yu. Meitus, M. Skoryk, Ye. Stankovych, the performances of which have become important musical events during the 120-year history of the theatre.

The concert features:

Olesia Bubela, Liubov Kachala, Dariia Lytovchenko, Liudmyla Ostash, Liudmyla Savchuk (sopranos),

Tetiana Vakhnovska (mezzo-sopranos),

Oleh Lanovyi, Roman Trokhymuk (tenors),

Orest Sydir, Roman Strakhov (baritones),

Yurii Trytsetskyi (bass).

Guest soloists:

Olha Kulchynska – a guest soloist of the Metropolitan Opera, Opéra Garnier, Zürich Opera House, Rome Opera House, Bavarian State Opera (soprano)

Valentyn Dytiuk – soloist of Taras Shevchenko National Opera of Ukraine (tenor),

Serhii Mahera – soloist of Taras Shevchenko National Opera of Ukraine (bass)

With the accompaniment of Lviv National Opera choir and the orchestra.
